Bottle Rockets
Glasgow-based indie four-piece Bottle Rockets are stepping into a new era with their debut EP father’s daughter. The lead single and title track drops on 6th March, ahead of the full EP release in May. Blending Scottish alt-pop, hazy shoegaze textures, and cinematic indie rock, the band are known for emotionally charged songwriting, soaring hooks, and dynamic live performances. Comprised of Kenzi Murray (vocals), John Tamburrini (guitar), Andrew Cummings (bass), and Sam Rae (drums), Bottle Rockets have built momentum across the UK, winning BBC Introducing’s Scottish Act of the Year 2024 and Best Alt/Rock at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards 2023. NOMAD NOMAD is a high-octane five-piece powerhouse redefining the collision of 80s stadium rock and 90s indie grit. The Bryan Adams Experience is widely recognised as Europe’s most authentic tribute to Bryan Adams, delivering a powerhouse performance that captures the heart and soul of the Canadian rock icon. Established in 1997, this seasoned Teesside based, four piece band is one of the UK’s longest running tribute acts, with an incredible reputation for musical precision and live energy. With over 25 years on the road, the band have performed across the UK and also internationally.
Their dynamic set includes classics like 'Summer of ’69', 'Run to You', 'Can’t Stop This Thing We Started', 'Heaven', and 'Everything I Do (I Do It for You)' — all delivered with precision, passion, and audience engagement. Hard to believe we know, but Kirk Brandon has been leading Spear of Destiny for over 40 years.
Spear of Destiny were formed in 1983 after the demise of Kirk Brandon’s post punk iconic rockers Theatre of Hate. Brandon had also, before TOH, been the main man in The Pack. The current line up of Spear is the longest serving to date and features Adrian Portas (New Model Army, Sex Gang Children), Craig Adams (The Sisters of Mercy, The Cult, The Mission) and Phil Martini (Jim Jones and the Righteous Mind) on drums. The recording line up was boasted by Saxophonist Clive Osborne. Long time Brandon collaborator Steve Allen-Jones completes the band line up on keyboards. During the winter of 2024 Spear took to the road with long term friend Richard Jobson who was fronting a revitalised line up of the much loved Post Punk heroes The Skids. That amazing line played close to 30 shows across the UK, many being complete sell outs. For Spear of Destiny 2025 and 2026 will be the years of 'Janus'. Janus The Recordings are the choicest cuts from the band's two biggest selling albums, Outland and The Price You Pay. 24 tracks re-recorded and re-imagined, beautifully packaged and presented on double vinyl, extended double CD and download. Janus The Tour will pull a set list from these fantastic new recordings. QFX the band was founded in the small town of Hawick on the Scottish Borders by music producer & song writer Kirk Turnbull in Feb of 1992. The Band quickly found a following in the Scottish Dance Music Scene throughout 1992 starting to play live at night clubs and music venues throughout Scotland and the Northeast of England. They found great support from Forth Radio DJ Legend Tom Wilson supporting the band's music on his Stepping Out Show. The Band's following grew very fast and they were soon performing 3 to 4 events a week as the UK Dance scene exploded. The media called it Rave, but this was not accurate since QFX music was so much more. Natasha Tee Natasha is Fifes answer to dynamite. Having released her 1st dance single on the QFX Label Epidemic in 2025 a cover of 4 Non Blondes What's Up which entered the iTunes UK top 40 at 23 mid week and has given her a nomination for Scotland's best new dance artist of 2025 and gained huge credibility all over the world :-) 2026 will see Natasha releasing three new tracks in 2026 on the Epidemic Records Label. Her 1st track of 2026 is a co-written track with Dj David Moralee and Kirk Turnbull and is an absolute stormer of a track based on the sound of faithless insomnia but with lyrics by Natasha and music by David & Kirk this one is going to be a massive track in 2026. DJ Paul Raynor Hawick DJ Paul Raynor is back for his second support slot at the QFX MacArts event. Ozzy Bloody Sabbath returns to MacArts, and takes to the Stage this year on Saturday 13th June 2026.
This year marks the 'Origin of Metal II' with the members of OBS taking you back in time to the haydayz of modern metal(nwobhm) with their first set, before em'barking' on to a Full Blown, Black Sabbath & Ozzy Extravaganza full of Vintage Riffs & Awesome Anthems. With an International line-up you're in for a treat - Axemen are Iron Bruce on Lead guitar & Jaco Jack on Bass. And pounding the Skins is Thunder Steel Steve. And finally Steering(Vocals) the Metal-hulled ship that is OBS - Ozzy (of Course !) - Born an Osborne(without a u) so was always destined to take the helm of a Metal band. Floyd UK have brought together some of the best musicians in the U.K. who have the talent and desire to replicate the music of Pink Floyd “LIVE” in the greatest detail possible. The band are dedicated to crafting Pink Floyd’s performances with careful attention to every note, inflection, expression, sound effect, on their instruments and voices. This year, and throughout 2026 They will perform “Wish You Were Here” in its entirety to celebrate 50 years of this iconic album. Also as a bonus the band will be playing an extra 75 minutes of Pink Floyd classics from the albums “The Wall”, “Dark Side of the Moon”, “Animals” & “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn”.....

Withered Hand is the pseudonym of Edinburgh based singer-songwriter Dan Willson. Since the release of his debut album ‘Good News’ in 2009, Dan has become a celebrated figure in the Scottish music scene and further afield. A well-travelled touring singer-songwriter, he has quietly amassed a devoted fanbase while staying true to a singular artistic vision.
A strident second album ‘New Gods’ in 2014 propelled Withered Hand into the charts, featuring appearances by friends, luminaries and supporters from the Scottish music scene, from Belle & Sebastian to Frightened Rabbit to The Vaselines and beyond, resulting in nomination for a UK AIM Award. A long-awaited third Withered Hand album, ‘How To Love’, was released in 2023, again to widespread critical acclaim. Dan’s subsequent collaboration with Mercury Prize nominated English singer-songwriter Kathryn Williams resulted in the album ‘Willson Williams’ - shortlisted for both Scottish Album of the Year and UK Americana Album of the Year 2024. A fourth Withered Hand LP titled ‘Beauty for Ashes’ (Produced by king creosote And Derek O’Neill), is due for release in Autumn 2026 on Fence Records. The Jexit, Jam Tribute are a unique, high-energy celebration of The Jam, originally formed in Tokyo, Japan in 2016 by Yoshi Tokio, the band’s Paul Weller.
Delivering the authentic sound, look and energy of The Jam, the band perform all the classic hits and album favourites that fans know and love, building a dedicated following across the UK. After gaining attention online, Yoshi was invited to the UK for a solo tour in 2017, followed by the first full-band UK tour that summer. More tours followed in 2019, with Yoshi collaborating with UK musicians including Rob Fellows, now the band’s bassist. During lockdown, Yoshi kept the spirit alive by performing and recording every part of classic Jam tracks from home and sharing them with fans worldwide. In 2024, the original Japanese line-up played their final show at The Cavern Club, Liverpool. The band now features Yoshi Tokio (guitar, vocals), Rob Fellows (bass, vocals) and Simon Wagstaff (drums) — second cousins and experienced Coventry musicians — bringing renewed energy and drive to the stage. Rhythm, Rust & Static Tour 2026
When Rivers Meet return to MacArts with the Rhythm Rust & Static Tour, following the release of their brand-new studio album Rhythm Rust & Static, out in spring 2026. Recorded with an intentionally stripped-back, analogue-inspired approach, Rhythm Rust & Static captures the raw essence of When Rivers Meet, intimate, gritty, and emotionally charged. The tour reflects that same spirit: a smaller, more focused on-stage setup, delivering a huge, immersive sound that puts songwriting, feel, and connection at the heart of the show. On stage, When Rivers Meet remain exactly what they have always been: Grace and Aaron Bond. They are joined by long-time collaborator James Fox, adding depth and texture through percussion, guitar, and backing vocals. With three musicians on stage, the sound is expansive and full-bodied. Greene Greene is the musical project of Joe Anderton. Born in Chelmsford, Greene takes the maiden name of his mother. After spending some years as a member of Connor Selby’s band, and lending writing credits to such acts as The Cinelli Brothers, Anderton now uses Greene as a vessel for his own output. After previous sold out shows at MacArts, we are delighted to welcome back Frankly, The Smiths.
Frankly, The Smiths is the only Smiths Scottish tribute act. Since forming in 2017, the band has performed regularly all over Scotland, including many illustrious venues, such as the Glasgow 02 Academy, the renowned Ironworks in Inverness and popular Legends in Edinburgh. The band has extended its reach into England and have already played a sell-out show at the famous Manchester Star & Garter, and plan to make this a regular event. The four-piece band are dedicated to authentically recreating the music and vibe of the legendary 1980s British band, The Smiths and delve into the Smiths’ back catalogue, delivering deep cuts and hits for devoted fans. They are known for their immersive performances and ability to capture the iconic sound of The Smiths and are a must for any Smiths, Morrissey or Indie fans! Fleetwood Bac were the world’s first and the UK’s most authentic Fleetwood Mac Tribute show, raved about by Peter Green’s biographer, and were the first Fleetwood Mac tribute band to fully replicate the classic Stevie, Lindsey, Christine, John and Mick Rumours line-up.
Over the many years Fleetwood Bac have been together the band has received rave reviews including notices from The Stage newspaper, been rated by The Times newspaper as one of the UK’s top 5 tributes, alongside The Bootleg Beatles, Bjorn Again and the Counterfeit Stones. Fans have included original Mac bassist and biographer Bob Brunning, who joined the band several times on stage, and Peter Green’s official biographer Martin Celmins. The sound, the look, the mystical atmosphere and on-stage chemistry are all portrayed with passion and energy, the band have built up an excellent reputation amongst Mac fans The Fleetwood Bac show focuses on the Rumours era of the band, which is still the 5th biggest-selling album of all time. These guys (and girl) are one of the hardest working tributes on the planet touring the UK, Europe, Brazil and Canada, including Lakeside Park for Neil Peart's family and Massey Hall for RUSHfest Canada in August 2025. 2026 celebrates 50 years of Rush’s 2112 album. This show sees Moving Pictures play the '2112 Suite' in full as well as songs from every Rush era. Mark, once half of legendary radio double-act Mark and Lard, has been on the national airwaves since the early nineties and currently hosts the Radio 2 Folk Show and weekend breakfast on 6Music with Stuart Maconie. He was the leader of folk-rock bands The Family Mahone and Galleon Blast and has also written five bestselling books about music. His next publication is ‘Et tu, cavapoo’ one man and his dog in Rome which he has co-authored with his canine companion Arlo.
His live shows, which have taken him across the UK and into Spain and Portugal, feature rambling anecdotes from his mystifyingly long career, along with some thought-provoking, borderline depressing original songs and the odd carefully selected cover. Offering sterling musical assistance and much-needed moral support is Mark’s musical collaborator David Boardman, a consummate guitarist, singer and fine artist. Covering a vast catalogue of music, Pure Weller aim to play the ultimate tribute to Paul Weller's amazing career.
They reach back through the seminal points of his time fronting The Jam and The Style Council, but more importantly focussing on his solo output. The band pride themselves on their live sound and stage presence, which is certain to grab any audience and pull them into a musical journey through over 40 years of passion, angst and infectious lyrics. Eva Cassidy was an American singer and guitarist known for her soulful interpretations of jazz, blues, folk, and pop songs. During her lifetime, she didn’t achieve widespread fame, as she preferred small performances and avoided the commercial music scene. Sadly, she passed away in 1996 at just 33 years old from melanoma. Her posthumous fame grew after the release of the compilation album Songbird in 1998, which showcased her stunning renditions of songs like Fields of Gold and Over the Rainbow. Her music later reached international audiences, especially after being featured on BBC Radio, leading to chart success in the UK and beyond. Norrie Tago MacIver is a singer songwriter from the Isle of Lewis. Until November 2025 he was the lead singer of Skipinnish, one of Scotland’s most popular and dynamic folk bands, for nine years. Known for his powerful voice, melodic flair, and deep roots in Gaelic tradition, Norrie has brought his signature style to sold-out venues across the UK, including the Barrowlands and Edinburgh Castle, and his last gig with the band was the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. Since joining Skipinnish in 2016, he has released two critically acclaimed albums with the band: The Seventh Wave and Steer by the Stars.
In 2011 & 2025, Norrie was voted Gaelic Singer of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards, and in 2021 he won the Online Performance of the year. He has two solo albums under his name and also released an album of new songs with the Glasgow Barons called Songs of Govan Old. Originally from Carloway on the Isle of Lewis and now based in Fife, Norrie is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Legendary bands Foreigner and Journey are giants of the AOR (Adult Orientated Rock) and Classic Rock genres, attracting huge audiences as live acts since forming in the 1970’s. The two bands have achieved massive commercial and critical success and both sold in excess of 80 million albums, with their supreme musical quality ensuring that they’ve never been victims of trends or passing fashions, and even their earliest hits are still being played on radio shows worldwide every day. Sadly for those in the UK, their shows over here have been few and far between, and most fans of their music have not experienced the thrill of hearing it played live.
Thankfully, however, the next best thing is here in the shape of the award-winning band A Foreigners Journey. Simon Yates of Touching the Void returns to Mac Arts, Galashiels with his new talk ‘Pleasure and Pain’!
‘Touching the Void’ mountaineer Simon Yates is a veteran of over eighty expeditions to high and remote mountains around the globe. Now in his sixties, he is showing no signs of slowing down! This is his story of the last decade, of new adventures and climbs in the far north and south, along with summits in South America, Central Asia and the Himalayas. In 2023, Simon travelled with legendary British mountaineer Mick Fowler to attempt the unclimbed north face of Patkhor in Tajikistan. Their trip ran smoothly until the first evening on the mountain when they both contracted food poisoning from their freeze-dried food. After some debate, they continued, but this was just the beginning of a series of events that would see them run out of food, retreat below the summit in a storm, and Simon taking a bone-breaking 100m fall during the descent. After two days of lying on the glacier waiting for a helicopter, rescuers finally arrived but were unable to carry Simon down.
