MacArts is a charity run by a small but brilliant team working alongside a fantastic group of dedicated volunteers who run the bar, collect tickets, and make you feel welcome, as well as performing a host of other tasks behind the scenes. Without the support of you, our regular audience, this amazing venue would struggle to survive.
From our Open Mic and Incubator new music nights, to comedy, theatre and some of the best live music around, MacArts punches well above its weight, but we can only continue to deliver knockout shows with your support.

1. Friends subscription tiers
- Friend subscription is open to individuals aged 18 and over.
- Tiers include Bronze (£3/month), Silver (£5/month), and Gold (£8/month), Platinum (£20/month) and a personal choice of donation value. Benefits vary by tier as outlined in the membership promotional material.
- MacArts is a registered charity and reserves the right to amend supporter subscription, prices, or benefits with reasonable notice to members.
2. Payments and Subscription
- Supporter Subscription for Friends of MacArts is collected by recurring payment monthly at the selected level of subscription. By setting up the recurring payment, you authorise MacArts to collect the agreed monthly amount until cancellation. If payment is not made, MacArts will contact you regarding the non-payment. Continued non-payment will result in the suspension or termination of your membership subscription benefits.
3. Benefits and merchandise
- Merchandise for each subscription tier are outlined in the Friends of MacArts promotional material. Physical merchandise (such as button badges and members-only t-shirts) will be provided upon successful receipt of your initial membership payments. T-shirts are limited to one per active Gold/Platinum member per subscription period unless otherwise stated.
- Free tickets to Incubator shows are subject to venue capacity and must be claimed/booked in advance. They are non-transferable and have no cash alternative.
Priority access to select events all tiers gives supporters an advance booking window, however, this does not guarantee ticket availability for sell-out shows.
- Invitations to the MacArts Members Christmas Party are subject to venue capacity and RSVP deadlines.
4. Cancellations and refunds
- Cancellation of active payments can be done in 2 ways: by logging into your personal Zeffy account and in my transactions select the option to cancel or stop recurring payment; or by contacting MacArts directly so that your membership subscription cancellation can be actioned.
- Cancellations of supporter subscriptions will take effect at the end of the month that has actively been paid for. MacArts does not offer partial or full refunds for payments already processed.
5. Communications
- By signing up, you agree to receive the regular members' email newsletter and essential admin updates regarding your supporter subscription. You can opt out of promotional emails at any time.
6. Data Protection
- Personal data collected for your supporter subscription will be processed securely in accordance with MacArts' Privacy Policy, UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 and Zeffy's Data Privacy Policy. Data is stored in the secure Zeffy platform and user and donor data are stored by MacArts soley for administrative and communication purposes.
