Friends in Harmony had been called the "301"

Friends in Harmony  had various personnel coming and going from the 1960s bands "The Warlocks", "Ian and the Invaders" and "The Strangers".  
Friends in Harmony had a brush with fame where they appeared on Series 14 episode 23 off Opportunity knocks. They were beaten into second place by Lena Zavaroni who was making her first first appearance where she sang “Ma! (He’s Making Eyes At Me)”. Other contestants on the show included Brian Aherne, The Frank and Peggy Spencer Formation Dancers and Johnny Douglas."
​The band at that time had Ian Clarkson  on bass and John Howden on guitar.
