Seabreeze and the Mariners

Seabreeze and the Mariners was a 1960s band from Eyemouth. They
were often described as the “bands’ band” as they were a bit different,
playing more rhythm and blues than popular chart music which most of
the other bands did.

Jim (Seabreeze) Windram (vocals)
Colin Browne (lead guitar)
Alex Mitchell (bass guitar)
George Tait (rhythm guitar)
Stuart Sinclair (drums)
Marshall Browne (harmonica and alto saxophone)
Tommy Chervik (tenor saxophone)

Among the big names they supported were Herman’s Hermits when they
were No 1 in the charts (at Berwick), The Searchers (at Kelso), Little
Eva, Peter & Gordon, The Honeycombs and The Zombies.

The played the music of John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley, The Graham
Bond Organisation, Alexis Corner, Georgie Fame etc
